Fragrant Homeland, Agricultural Essence: “Toey - Pai” Check In Phang Nga to Enjoy the Panoramic View of Samet Nangshe

Toey Pongsakorn, host of the "Fragrant Homeland, Agricultural Essence" program this Saturday, invited his adventure buddy Pai Patit to experience the unseen charm of southern Thailand in Phang Nga province on a one-day trip. They rode a four-wheel-drive vehicle up over 800 meters to the "Samet Nangshe Viewpoint," breathing fresh air while admiring the stunning 360-degree panoramic view of Phang Nga Bay. From there, they could see limestone islands and the expansive Phang Nga sea, surrounded by beautiful natural scenery. The excitement culminated in kayaking through the centuries-old banyan root tunnel at "Khlong Sangneh," known as the Little Amazon of Thailand, in Takua Pa district. This narrow creek winds through lush forests, covered with banyan trees and diverse plants that form a distinctive natural tunnel over the water. Along the way, visitors can observe biodiversity up close, including hornbills, golden-ringed snakes, and various local wildlife. This area reflects the richness of the ecosystem and highlights the importance of conserving natural resources alongside tourism.

A key highlight was delving into innovative social waste processing at the Green Market nestled in the cool morning shade of palm gardens at “Lat Long Lae” (Long Lae Bangnu Market) in Takua Thung district. Participants joined the almsgiving of rice and dry food on the “Merit Road” and sampled traditional local delicacies such as fresh steamed lotus seeds in syrup and ancient Khanom Jok, all served in 100% eco-friendly natural packaging. The program also presents the concept of “low-carbon agriculture” and the strong cooperation of Bangnu community supported by the Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives (BAAC) through the “Prosperous Community BAAC” project, which helps establish a comprehensive waste management system and elevates the community economy while sustainably caring for the environment.

Join this journey filled with fun and inspiration for developing community products into socially valuable goods on the program "Fragrant Homeland, Agricultural Essence" airing Saturday, 29 August, at 20:20 on Channel 9 HD, channel 30.
