After the famous comedian "Oleang Chuenyim" or "Somphong Kraithirangkoon" peacefully passed away on 25 Aug 2026, his family held a Buddhist prayer ceremony at Wat Pracharangsarn, Bang Krang Subdistrict, Mueang District, Nonthaburi Province, starting from 26 Aug 2026.
Most recently, on the afternoon of 29 Aug 2026, Oleang Chuenyim's cremation ceremony took place at the crematorium of Wat Pracharangsarn, Nonthaburi. Initially, heavy rain fell, but after Mum Jokmok, a close friend and famous comedian, spoke to the media and shouted to clear the rain so the ceremony could proceed, the rain subsided and the event continued. At the ceremony, fellow comedians brought dishes such as basil chicken, meatballs, and various drinks to share.
When the cremation ceremony began, the atmosphere was filled with sorrow. Bind Banluerit presided over the ceremony as per Oleang's last wishes. Mum Jokmok also co-presided. Many comedian friends and celebrities attended, including Gift Khokkhoon, Ball Chuenyim, Tua Prae Chuenyim, Krarok Chuenyim, Saichia Wongwiroj, Krung Sriwilai, Yong Lukyi, and Big Kheng Chuenyim, among others.
In a heartbreaking moment, Nong Kafe, Oleang Chuenyim's daughter, tearfully said her farewells to her father and paid respects at the crematorium. Additionally, Oleang's niece traveled from Korat to sing a song of tribute at the ceremony. After the event, Mum Jokmok gave money to Nong Kafe, who accepted it with tears.
