Kai Warayut and Yui Jiranan Share Their Warm Friendship! Answering When They Became Close

The question is: when did they become close? Between "Kai Warayut" who appeared together with "Yui Jiranan" sharing their heartfelt feelings on the talk show "Kui Zab Show" on Channel One 31. Many might wonder how a "Channel 3 producer" could become close friends with a "top actress from Channel 7." This talented producer also opened up for the first time here about selling assets like a luxury riverside house and office, as well as being defrauded of over 10 million baht after investing in a BL series.

When did you become close first?

Kai: At first, I was close with his younger brother, then gradually with his wife. Than acted in my first drama, "Nai Roi Krab Phom," when he was still a kid. Back then, Channel 3 preferred actors with mixed heritage, but Than had a Thai face, so I thought he was better suited for Channel 7. He came to consult me, and I told him to go ahead. He was a hardworking kid, very handsome at the time—before any cosmetic surgery—but a bit mischievous.

Yui: He was handsome in a Thai way, but I met him when he was older and more mature.

Kai, when you met Than as a teenager, how was he mischievous?

Kai: Let me tell you about the first day I met him. Than, may I? (laughs) Have you ever met someone who argued with a director, saying, "I won’t act," and really didn’t? Back then, you could even bump shoulders with a director. I had to talk to him and remind him that the filming had to continue. He complied. Finding a leading man was tough, but I managed to get both the lead actor and director on the same project. After clearing the air, we never fought again. If it was about insurance, we’d have to claim every week (smiles). He was a hot-tempered youth and the wildest lead actor I’ve worked with, but now he’s a warm man.

How did you feel when he started courting Yui Jiranan?

Kai: I was shocked at first. Looking back, he once tried to run into a car and asked me, "Don’t you love me anymore?" I shouted back, "Come back first!" (laughs) When I found out he was courting Yui, I cried from shock. I wondered if he could really love her. Than said, "We’ll see." When they were about to marry, I was happier than when I married myself. Yui is well-mannered, so I wondered if he could take care of her—it’s like yin and yang. The first thing he told Yui was thank you for taking care of my brother because no one else ever could.

Yui: Kai always says thank you for looking after Than. During their relationship, Than often told me about Kai. He said he was very mischievous with Kai but loved him like a second parent. I hadn’t met Kai then, but I felt I loved him already. I always feel that Than loves Kai. Kai is part of my family. Even at our countryside home, they prepared a place for Kai to stay when he gets older. Than truly listens to Kai, loves, and respects him a lot.

Kai: Back then, I supported him no matter who he fought with. I was his advisor.

Yui, did you know about the background of the man courting you?

Yui: I didn’t know much but heard some things. When he met me, he was already mature. When he met Kai, he told those stories I shared earlier (smiles). They are funny now, but he’s better because he’s grown up.

Kai: When he dated Yui, he calmed down a lot. Before, two sentences were enough to make him angry. He had his reasons, but with Yui, he softened. He’d call to say Yui was upset again, and I’d tell him to make up, it would be fine. Yui isn’t fierce but calm.

Yui: Now, there’s someone he fears more than me—his child. He’s afraid his child won’t love him.

Was Kai the one who asked for Than and Yui’s hand in marriage?

Kai: I was very happy. My brother finally had someone to take care of him, and that person is good.

How much does Kai dote on his niece, "Proud Tawan"?

Yui: Not overly doting, but whenever we return from a trip, my child’s clothes are always many. There are dozens of outfits never worn. Even when we travel abroad, he buys heavy gifts because he brings so many presents for his niece.

Kai: Everyone dotes on her. She’s as cunning as her father and likes to bite legs with a toy crocodile.

Yui: Proud Tawan calls Kai "P’Kai." She secretly watches what we do.

Kai: Proud Tawan is as mischievous as her dad but got her beauty from her mother. She’s very smart. Recently, her parents plan to build a tower-like house for me on a mountain in Saraburi, on their property.

But now, Kai is selling his own assets?

Kai: Selling the Sam Khok house and office too, as my younger brother has said goodbye to everything. Selling for 150 million baht for over 2 rai. Since I’m on "Kui Zab Show," I’m offering a 20% discount. Anyone interested can call me directly. I want to use the money for merit-making and to support myself.

I heard you were defrauded by someone close?

Kai: It’s true. Because of my ignorance and kindness, I trusted him in work and drama production. He sold our drama props without paying us. I’ll be clear so everyone knows. Even the lead actor and the assistant sold items but never gave me the money—about 10 million baht. When making the drama, I had to request extra budget. Being Warayut, I couldn’t lose face. They said they had no money, but the drama had already aired. I had to cover costs to finish it, including previous expenses. We’re currently in litigation.

(Pointing) I’m not the only victim; many others were too because of this person. Everyone has united to sue him. We have lawyers handling it. I want to tell him to return what he can, even if not everything. Just acknowledge it’s our money and what we deserve. If he wants us to lose, we’ve already done that for him. He should share some back. There are multiple debtors, but Thai people will know soon enough.

What impressions do you have of each other?

Yui: Kai knows well (raises hand in thanks). Thank you very much. Kai knows how much we both love and appreciate him. He’s very kind to us. When I visit, he loves my child a lot and loves Kai very much.

Kai: I know now that I won’t be alone because there are two people caring for me as I get older. I’ve loved them for a long time without realizing it because they help take care of my brother to be a better man and a good father to his child. It’s because of these two.
