Thai fans were on the edge of their seats, holding their breath during the 2026 Asian Women's Volleyball Championship final between Thailand and China, which ended with the result thatthe Thai women's volleyball team defeated the Chinese women's team 3-2 in sets, claiming the championship and securing their first Olympic ticket for 2028.
Throughout the five-set match, the Thai players faced intense competition from their key rival, China, but relied on a strong defense, systematic play, and diverse attacks to brilliantly close out the match.
During the game, Thai fans were so anxious they nearly forgot to breathe, as did many celebrities watching on screen, several of whom posted photos and congratulatory messages to the "Thai women's volleyball team" on finally qualifying for the Olympics, including
Rasamee Khae posted a photo with the message, “C Ya LA2028.”
Bird Thongchai posted congratulations to the "Thai women's volleyball team," saying, “So happy, everyone is amazing, including the coach. The girls have made it to the Olympics. Congratulations! Yayyyy!”
Grace Kanjklao expressed her joy, posting, “We’re going to the Olympics! So happy, everyone is so talented, screaming and fainting!”
