After Tangmo Nida's mother filed a complaint on 2 Sep 2026 at Nonthaburi Police Station accusing the submission or use of false evidence in the investigation, Professor Panthep Puapongpan brought Kwan Usamanee to testify as a witness supporting Tangmo's mother. This caused a stir and brought Tangmo's case back into public discussion.
Recently, on the Facebook page ofEkaret Nampokina programmer and Digital Forensics expert, posted clear comparative images
—revealing documents from the case file showing photos falsely submitted as evidence in Tangmo's case. The photos claim to show Tangmo's close friend standing at the bow of the boat, with Tangmo taking the picture on 24 February 2022, while cruising before the incident.
—Images were revealed showing differences between the boats: the boat in Tangmo's case, a Cobal 25 SC with an outboard engine, versus the boat in the disputed photos, which has an inboard engine.
—GPS images claiming to show Kwan's boat at 20:32 near Rama VIII Bridge, then at 21:11 near Wat Arun, with photos of Kwan on 24 February 2022 taken at the Chao Phraya River in front of Wat Arun. Meanwhile, Tangmo's boat at 20:32 was near Wat Bang Luang, the spot leaving from the "Baan Ta Nid" restaurant shortly before. This led to claims that the photos submitted as evidence show a different boat and times and locations do not match.
