Fah Sananthachat Together with her lawyer, she brought evidence to file a complaint with cyber police after receiving mysterious LINE messages claiming to work with the Police Chief and inviting her to take on senior officials’ jobs, fearing it is a new scam tactic damaging her reputation.
Fah Sananthachat went to meet Police Major General Siriwat Deepor, head of Cyber Crime Division 1, to submit evidence and file a complaint after someone using the alias "Mint" sent LINE messages claiming to work for the Police Chief and said senior officials wanted her to accept jobs.
Fah spoke about the matter, saying,"It started when an unknown person messaged me on LINE, claiming senior officials were interested and that I worked with the Police Chief. I firmly deny knowing or having any connection with them. I declined because I feared my information would be used to impersonate and deceive others. I also worried the public might misunderstand and think I accepted inappropriate jobs, which would harm my reputation in the entertainment industry that I have built over more than ten years. Additionally, I found that my photos were doctored alongside the Police Chief’s, causing damage."
Meanwhile, Police Major General Siriwat Deepor thanked the actress for providing evidence. He said the investigation team would expedite tracing the offenders. He also warned the public that scammers nowadays often impersonate senior officials to gain trust for fraud, and officials will promptly pursue legal action.
