most recently, on the morning of 8 Sep 2026, the Minburi Criminal Court, the court of first instance, issued a dismissal order for the defendant, clearing Poo of wrongdoing in this case and exempting her from paying the 500,000 baht damages requested by the plaintiff, before Poo and Madam Sam P and Lawyer Mana Wandee gave interviews to the media.
Regarding this matter, Poo Mantana expressed her happiness, saying the opposing party filed nearly 30 lawsuits in a form of repeated litigation, with many complaints containing repeated statements, some of which she did not post herself but preferred not to disclose details to keep defenses for court. She is confident in having strong arguments. Winning this case has boosted her morale and positively affected other cases, as these involve a group she knows who have been harassing her with repeated statements in every complaint, aimed at silencing and bullying her. She expressed confidence in Lawyer Mana and Madam Sam P, as well as in the entire legal team.
When asked how they would prepare if Lawyer Kaew appeals, Madam Sam P said the court's decision is unlikely to change. Lawyer Mana explained that if they appeal, it concerns legal issues of redundant litigation, meaning the defendant can only be found guilty once for a case with the same factual issues and cannot be found guilty in other cases on identical facts. If an appeal is filed, the plaintiff must focus on legal questions, as the court did not rule on the factual truth, so whether defamation occurred or not is not addressed. The appeal can only be based on legal matters.
Asked if Lawyer Kaew is likely to appeal, Poo said she does not know. Madam Sam P said he probably will, as he can fully demonstrate his skills. They will keep a little in reserve. Lawyer Kaew did not attend today; they last saw him at Nonthaburi court where he still said hi. They also planned to ask when he would return the 30,000 baht the court ordered him to pay Poo.
When asked about the current status, Poo said there were no new details yet. She has spoken with Lawyer Kaew to thank him for not acting like other lawyers who post pictures of her, her husband, and family on social media. Lawyer Kaew told the court during witness examination that no matter what, he never used her photos to attack her on social media. She thanked Lawyer Kaew for being a gentleman. Madam Sam P added that Lawyer Kaew is indeed a gentleman who fights with facts in court and does not fight on social media.
