At 10:00 a.m. on 13 September 2026, at Sala 2, Wat Paknam (Soi Phibunsongkhram 1), Nonthaburi Province, a group of close friends and fans held a merit-making ceremony in memory of the late actress. "Tangmo Phattharida (Nida) Patcharawirapong" to remember her and send love and longing, with religious rites including offering Sangkhathan and alms food to dedicate merit and send her spirit to a peaceful afterlife.
Mr. Phichaiphusit Butniam, known as "Paesa," 39, a close friend of Tangmo, revealed that he holds two merit-making ceremonies each year for her: on the death anniversary in February and on the birthday, 13 September, consistently every year. Although last year he was occupied in Chanthaburi Province and held the event there, this year the atmosphere was lively with fans joining to offer Sangkhathan and alms food.
Paesa added that he always thinks of Tangmo deeply every year. The love they shared will stand the test of time. Although Tangmo has never appeared in his dreams, he still chats with her and does things for her regularly. Today, he brought her favorite dishes, "garlic chicken" and "orange juice," to offer in the merit-making.
Regarding the case progress, he feels relieved and encouraged to see advancements. He has always maintained that Tangmo did not go to urinate at the back of the boat as reported, nor was she on the boat in the manner described by some in the past. He thanked the Ban Prasat team, along with the DSI and the NACC, for their joint efforts to uphold justice, even though it has taken 4-5 years. He is willing to wait, understanding the difficulty of gathering evidence.
He also addressed conflicts over interviews with some friends, saying he spoke from his feelings because current information contradicts statements made four years ago. If the truth had been told from the start, it would have benefited Tangmo's case more.
However, he does not intend to quarrel with anyone. Whether people think he is exploiting the case or seeking attention is their right, but his sole goal is to stand beside Tangmo's family and be part of the fight for the justice his friend deserves.
