This issue has attracted a lot of attention after the Thai national women's badminton player "Porpor Thapsiri Tae-rattanachai" posted an Instagram story tagging "Ingfa Waraha" and "Boss Nawat" responded about Ingfa and Porpor's relationship, saying he is happy and has no objection if they decide to date or reveal their relationship.
Ingfa herself clarified that Porpor is just a friend and senior who is kind to her, and they do not have a deeper relationship as rumored. The closeness is because they share mutual friends and belong to the LGBTQ community. She confirmed that she is currently single.
Recently, Porpor addressed the matter on her Instagram story, stating:
"Regarding the issue that has arisen, I would like to explain and clarify from my perspective.
First point – The Instagram story (posted on the 12th) that sparked discussion. First of all, I apologize for the mistake that made many people uncomfortable with the message I conveyed. I admit that I posted and tagged her myself. I was not careful or thoughtful in how I communicated it. I sincerely apologize again.
Second point – Regarding the relationship between me and the person mentioned. I have followed and admired her because she is talented, and I have had the chance to meet and talk with her as friends or like siblings for nearly two years. We have consulted and met occasionally within our exercise friend group.
Currently, I have seen in the media that she is single. I admit that I want to talk and develop our relationship further, so I have expressed my feelings more clearly to her. At present, we remain just like siblings among friends. We both need time to learn about each other, and I understand that. But I still affirm the good feelings I have for her. I openly admit this.
Third point – Regarding the linking of images of other people to my relationship, I confirm that I am currently single and have no intimate relationships with anyone. I am explaining this to take responsibility for what happened and to clear up misunderstandings or displeasure caused. I accept the feelings and reactions to this situation.
