Another drama has caught the attention of netizens when Ice Thalatchanan the wife of the late famous comedian Neng Mengjai, posted a series of fiery Facebook statuses targeting an elderly man who meddled in her affairs. She said he didn’t want the life insurance her husband had taken out for her but still called to ask about it. She added that he was nowhere to be seen when her husband was alive but acted very involved after his death, criticizing the deceased unkindly and telling him to clear his own legal troubles before interfering in other families.
On Talatchanan Wilatworayot’s Facebook, she posted, “There’s this elderly man who likes to meddle in other people’s business. He doesn’t need to get involved in everything, especially things that aren’t his concern.” Also, “No matter how long it takes, I’m ready to fight. And he says he doesn’t want anything? Everyone should watch the clips — he wasn’t around when he was alive but took a big role after he died 藍.”
Then Ice posted angrily about the life insurance Neng had secretly taken out for her: “Neng secretly made a life insurance policy naming Ice as 100% beneficiary. Someone who says they don’t want it still calls to ask about it 藍. Who really wants the money? And the old man has his own policy too, so when he dies he won’t be a burden to his children…”
Most recently, Ice posted another sharp message: “Speaking ill of the dead isn’t kind, old man. Take care of your own many legal cases first before meddling in other families. Which side of the family are you related to? You insult me like a frog, and you... well, you’re old but still attack a young person 臘♀️.”
She continued with another post: “I’m just Ice, who doesn’t like meddling in others’ affairs. I don’t post to gain popularity or money on Facebook. I have no work but keep up appearances daily. Whatever’s trending, they criticize me for everything. Take some medicine, your blood pressure might rise, and your walk isn’t steady 來.”
Ice also confirmed that her husband knew who would preserve or squander their assets, saying: “Neng knew who would take care of or waste his property. He had been paying off many debts. I helped Neng get back on his feet. Don’t make me talk about everything. I feel sorry for Neng; he went through so much. While alive, he never failed to provide. It was all Ice’s money .”
Besides receiving support, some netizens asked, “You said it’s all Ice’s money. Did Neng not earn any money from work? Just curious.” Ice replied, “Neng did earn money and paid his own expenses, but it wasn’t enough. Many other costs were supported by Ice. When Neng left his previous troupe, he came with nothing. I was the one supporting him .”
When asked, “Who paid for Neng’s funeral? Who helped? Don’t come at me; just asking,” Ice responded, “Father Mam and Mae Mod helped, along with fellow comedians. However, many other expenses were paid by Ice’s family. Everything is recorded and accounted for.”
