How do your feelings from the first time you met compare to now?
Nikki: She told me to look into her eyes when we were out partying.
Lek Wasu: We really just met, but only exchanged glances; we didn’t know each other then. That was a long time ago.
Nikki: Did you know I’m a famous actor?
Lek Wasu: I knew he was a notorious womanizer — honestly, my friends told me that. But when I met him on set, he wasn’t what I expected. At first, I thought he’d be like a loudmouth, but he was very dedicated to his work. The director told him what to do, and he did it perfectly. That impressed me. Now I’m happy to have met him; he’s kind and very attentive. You know, his image in my mind used to be negative—like he had bad traits—but after getting to know him, he’s cool. That old negative image has completely disappeared.
Nikki: Did you like me from the start?
Lek Wasu: No, not at all. I didn’t like him; I was indifferent.
Nikki: What did I do to make you dislike me? Give me a reason. I even greeted you first, humbly. I’m older, so I should be the one to greet first. But when I arrived, you just glanced sideways, reading a book. I was confused, wondering why you didn’t say anything. We sat next to each other without talking until I said, “Hi, Lek.” You replied ‘yes’ and went back to reading.
And what was Nikki’s first impression of you?
Nikki: She was stunning, quiet, acted like she didn’t want to greet me. I thought, the music video will air soon; I’ll see her then. If I greeted her too soon, it would seem like I was being flirtatious or overstepping. I had a plan in mind: don’t greet now, just follow her on social media first. That’s not rude. The music video would air in about a month, and then I’d greet her. Everything was planned.
Lek Wasu: When he was in England, he messaged me to appear on his show. I said I wanted to talk first. At that time, I felt awkward.
Nikki: That was the first time we went out together.
Lek Wasu: But I felt he was interesting. I asked myself if I was open to this, and I wasn’t quite there yet, but I thought he was cute and interesting.
When did you start feeling butterflies?
Lek Wasu: At first, I thought we were just acquaintances hanging out like friends. I didn’t think he was serious, I thought he was just playing around. Lek Wasu: But I tried to ask him if those rumors were true, if he really went there. He was sweet because he would tell me first where he was going. So the rumors didn’t affect us. I knew he’d be there, so I didn’t worry about whether it was true or not. That prevented any problems or arguments.
