Bangkok – Miss Grand International Public Company Limited held an event WELCOME CEREMONY & PRESS CONFERENCE – MISS GRAND INTERNATIONAL 2026 grandly welcoming contestants from 80 countries worldwide to Thailand, offering an authentic Thai experience through activities and key tourist sites, aimed at promoting the country's image in tourism, culture, fashion, and Soft Power to the international community.
The event was honored by the presence of Mr. Nawat Itsaragrisil and Ms. Teresa Chaivisut, President and Vice President of the Miss Grand International pageant, a globally recognized Thai beauty contest. Also attending were Isabella Menin, Miss Grand International 2022; Emma Tiglao, Miss Grand International 2025; Tarina Bottes, Miss Universe Thailand 2026; Nam-ing Sutthida Iadpu, 1st Runner-Up Miss Universe Thailand 2026; and actors Aum Taweporn Pringjamras and Mina Rina Chatamornchai from the series Under Her Rules. The event took place amid media and distinguished guests on the 6th floor of Grand Richmond Stylish Convention Hotel, Rattanathibet Road.
The event's highlight was a fashion show introducing the contestants in evening gowns, reflecting their elegance and readiness from all 80 countries, including Ning Patama Jitsawat, Miss Grand Thailand 2026, wearing the Thailand sash. This was followed by a special performance by the new boy band Vryse (Cheeta, Sun, Tang, Dream) from GRM Entertainment, showcasing their debut single "Follow Me." The program continued with a "How To Win" session revealing key ideas and techniques to impress and succeed on the Miss Grand International stage. Competition formats and the path through various rounds of Miss Grand International 2026 were also unveiled. The Miss Popular Vote winner will automatically advance to the Top 5 finalists based on official website votes.
Another exciting activity was the announcement of the Top 10 GRAND DAY EXPERIENCE winners. These ten individuals will receive a special opportunity to visit the MGI Headquarters and The Grand Clinic, experiencing exclusive moments in Thailand. The winners include Miss Grand Vietnam, Miss Grand Panama, Miss Grand Tanzania, Miss Grand Thailand, Miss Grand Cuba, Miss Grand Guatemala, Miss Grand Brazil, and Miss Grand Costa Rica.
Additionally, contestants from around the world will experience Thai tourism by exploring the beauty of Nakhon Pathom and Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya provinces, two important destinations reflecting Thai history, arts, culture, and way of life. This serves as another chance to showcase the country's charm to a global audience. Beyond tourism activities, contestants must also prepare for three key competition stages:
On 7 October 2026, the National Costume and Preliminary Competition rounds will take place, followed by the Grand Final on 10 October 2026 to crown Miss Grand International 2026. Both events will be held at MGI Hall, 6th floor, Bravo BKK Shopping Center, Rama 9.
