Fon recounted the incident as follows.
"Review: stuck at Suvarnabhumi Airport for 6 hours on 26.09.26. Flew back from Osaka, arrived at Suvarnabhumi around 9:30 p.m. The flight landed on time, passed immigration normally, but the luggage never arrived. I kept waiting, from one hour, to two, then three hours, but there was little information on when the bags would come. Many people just sat waiting aimlessly.
Eventually, I waited until about 3:30 a.m., almost 6 hours, and still no luggage. The counter informed us that flooding caused a shortage of baggage handlers and gave a Call Center number for follow-up."
I decided to go home without my luggage. Although I had arrived in Thailand, my bags had not. The snacks I brought back from Osaka were already opened and eaten while waiting. The free water dispenser was empty, and passengers had no drinking water. There seemed to be no spots selling water or food in the baggage claim area."
After waiting over an hour for a taxi with no sign of one, I called an AOT vehicle. Staff said the queue was long, with a wait of 2-3 hours, and the fastest option was a Benz van at a very high price. I decided to go ahead because I really wanted to get home. The cost was nearly 3,000 baht. Painful but done. I send encouragement to all passengers and staff working amid this situation and hope everything improves soon."
Fon later updated, "I received information from a fellow passenger on the same flight that the luggage arrived on the conveyor belt at 8 a.m."
