The passing of “Uncle Piak Poster” or “Sombun Suk Niyomsiri” a National Artist in Performing Arts (film and television) in 2015, passed away peacefully from old age at 13:15 on 24 September 2026, aged 93, causing great sorrow to his family and those around him.
His family and relatives held religious rites at the pavilion of Ban Nong Yang Monastery, Pak Chong Subdistrict, Pak Chong District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province.
Later today (29 Sep 2026), Top Bin and Tide Ekapan Banluerit went to receive the body of Uncle Piak Poster at Ban Nong Yang Monastery, Pak Chong Subdistrict, Pak Chong District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, to bring it for religious rites at Wat Suntorn Thammathan (Kanangleng Temple) in Bangkok. The funeral chanting ceremony will be held on 29–30 September and 1 October at 7:00 p.m. The body will then be kept for 100 days awaiting the royal cremation ceremony.
They also revealed a photo showing the coffin numbers clearly as “40, 74.”
