Amid the ongoing flood crisis expanding across many areas with continuous requests for assistance, recently, Bum Panadda Wongpudi, the president of the Doing Good organization, posted a message expressing her heartfelt feelings and asking for sympathy from flood victims after her team faced intense challenges both in fieldwork and emotional pressure from those seeking help.
She posted on Facebook under the name "Dr. Panadda Wongpudi" saying,
"I understand everyone who asks for help and I understand the anger that we cannot assist everyone. But please understand, we are a small foundation without sponsors or investors, not a government agency. We operate on a very limited budget from donations by the public, and I cannot split myself in two.
What we are doing now is beyond human limits. The team and I are sleeping only 2-3 hours a day.
I don’t ask for much — when you message for help, please use respectful language. Some people lash out as if we are slaves. I feel sorry for my team who have to absorb your emotions. Please be understanding and kind to one another."
Many followers have sent their support to Bum Panadda and her team, thanking them for their sacrifice and urging flood victims to remain calm, as all the team members are volunteers working at full capacity to assist everyone.
