Jai Thaitasmit Sharp-Tongued on Social Media: Stop Taking Credit for Donated Items During Flood Crisis

The young singer came out strongly with a sharp rebuke. Jai Itsanakorn Phungkiatrussamee , or Jai Thaitasmit, recently voiced his frustration on Facebook, unable to tolerate people taking credit during the flood crisis.

“I can't take it anymore. Stop claiming credit, stop taking photos to show off, stop taking donated items from volunteers to distribute then saying they’re yours. I encounter this every time, at every level—from committee members to local leaders. Volunteers are doing the work; you just take the credit behind their backs. Don’t you follow my Facebook? Don’t you know my style?”

He then fired off rapid comments under the post: “Neither I nor the volunteers want recognition, but seeing this makes me sick. The water is already dirty, but you’re even worse. Disgusting! Don’t take so many photos; the locals have phones and will take pictures for you. Why do you want so much advertising? Do you know what organic content is? Stop claiming credit already. The only credit you get is blue.”

Fans responded warmly with comments like: “Heartwarming!!! I bet you’re the same little crocodile as Professor Beer,” “The background says it all, heartwarming,” “Haha, from someone living in the village where Jai’s team was the first to help. Without him, we would have seen nothing,” “They even invested in large vinyl backdrops for nice photos,” and so on.

Meanwhile, singer Kong Huayrai asked, “Who’s doing this, little brother?” Jai replied, “They’re taking our rice to distribute, then saying it belongs to them.”
