Today (3 Oct 2026), the Jamlongkul family held the cremation ceremony for “Tong Suraphan” : also known as “Tong Wong Two” at Wat Phra Sri Mahathat Bang Khen. Despite the heavy rain, friends and colleagues from the entertainment industry continued to arrive in large numbers to pay their final respects, filling the temple hall. Meanwhile, “Pek Premnatch” and “Pau Powalee” opened up about their close ties and shared memories from working on songs that became key parts of their artistic journeys.
Although the rain poured heavily at times, the atmosphere at the cremation ceremony for “Tong Suraphan,” also known as “Tong Wong Two,” at Wat Phra Sri Mahathat Bang Khen was filled with love and mourning from family and friends in the entertainment industry who came together to bid their final farewell, filling the temple hall.
Two junior artists, “Pek Premnatch” and “Pau Powalee,” also attended the ceremony, sharing their thoughts on this loss and recalling memories of Tong, who was not only a behind-the-scenes music professional but also a significant figure in their careers.
Starting with “Pek Premnatch,” he revealed that he had the chance to work with Tong when he first began singing. The song “Ngai Ngai” was written by Tong. Although he was a new singer and found music work challenging and demanding, Tong always offered guidance and support, creating a bond Pek described as having another father figure.
Importantly, “Ngai Ngai” became his breakthrough song, and even after many years, it remains memorable to people today. Pek said that attending this ceremony was his way to thank Tong for everything he had given and to say his final goodbye.
“The song 'Ngai Ngai' is closely tied to me and was written by Tong Suraphan, so I felt I had to come today. Seeing everyone who loved him and his children, to whom Tong gave so much happiness and love as they grew up, I now send Tong to a place where he will be happiest. There will never be a day when Tong is gone from us.”
Meanwhile, singer “Pau Powalee” was another who had the opportunity to work with Tong from the production of her first album after joining Grammy. Pau shared that the songs fans heard during that time were shaped by Tong’s creative ideas and production. As a producer, Tong carefully selected the best songs for her.
For Pau, Tong was one of the key behind-the-scenes figures who played an important role in her breakthrough and growth as a singer. Attending Tong’s final farewell was a chance to express gratitude and say goodbye, wishing him peace and happiness in the afterlife.
“I’m very thankful. I remember the day I got my songs, and Tong rushed to the recording studio enthusiastically wanting to make music for me. He always tried to bring the best for me. Tong was a major driving force behind my career. I’m so grateful. Today I’m here to send him off for the last time (crying). I hope he rests peacefully in heaven. Thank you very much.”
