The phrase that has become a viral sensation all across the country right now is the singing line "Yipun Is Hereeee!" sung in a piercingly high voice that really grabs your attention.
And the owner of this voice is "Yipun Phetuthai." She is a 30-year-old female likay artist, ritual healer, and famous likay lead actress, known for her powerful and unique vocal inflection in the viral catchphrase "Yipun Is Here," which is currently popular and a top online and TikTok sound. Leading Thai celebrities such as Jeff Satur, Ingfa Waraha, Janji Janjira, Noon Waranuch, and Peak Pattarasaya have all enthusiastically used this recording and song in their performances.
Recently, Yipun Phetuthai opened up in an interview with Thairath Entertainment after her name and the phrase "Yipun Is Hereeee!" went viral.
Yipun introduced herself, saying, "I’m a ritual healer and a soft-voiced likay actress, Yipun Phetuthai. I’m really happy to have gone viral because I’ve been singing this for over 10 years. This song has been used a long time in the likay community, but I’m glad it’s now associated with me and that it’s helped more people in the industry get to know each other widely."
The phrase "Yipun Is Here" is my signature. I’ve seen the cute clips that people have made, and I try to watch all of them. Since it became a trend from day one, I’ve tried to comment on everyone’s posts to thank them, whether they are influencers, actors, or ordinary people. But now there are so many that I might have missed some or only seen them without commenting.
The powerful voice you hear is really mine. I sing like this at every event. I always sing it before likay performances, and for ritual ceremonies, it depends on the hosts. If they request it, I’ll sing because I understand that the voice is loud and some might not like loud sounds. But if you want me to sing, just let me know. Some clips have an even higher pitch, about 1–2 keys higher, and sometimes I use a microphone to help. I’ve had this voice since I was a child and try to maintain it as much as possible.
Honestly, I’ve been performing likay and rituals since I was a child, but the phrase "Yipun Is Here" has been part of my singing for over ten years. I sometimes posted clips before but didn’t use TikTok much. After starting TikTok two years ago, it gained popularity mostly among niche groups like mothers, children, and LGBTQ communities who recognize "Yipun Is Here," but it wasn’t widely known like it is now.
When asked if she made any vows or offerings, Yipun said her spiritual guardian at home is her grandfather spirit. She told him she made a life vow never to say she was tired. But she felt that when she went to pay respects to her grandfather spirit, she told him she never gave up or slacked but wondered when her day would come. She felt very tired, and she didn’t expect this would be the most significant moment in her life. She said she told her grandfather spirit this about two months ago.
I have been the pillar of my family since I was young. That day, I felt many emotions and told the spirit from deep inside my heart that if given the chance, I wanted people to notice me. But I never imagined it would be this big.
After this, I will continue as a likay lead actress and ritual healer. I haven’t raised my prices yet. I have some sponsors and clients contacting me because I have also become an influencer.
Besides her performance talents, Yipun revealed that she holds a bachelor's degree in engineering and is pursuing a master's degree in social sciences.
She ended with a heartfelt message to her fans, saying, "If anyone hears my voice from now on—whether mothers, children, LGBTQ people, or anyone else who listens—I hope you will love, cherish, and be kind to me, Yipun, for a long time. Whether it’s rituals for ordination candidates or likay performances, please remember me."
