“Boom Panadda” Exposes Volunteer Gang that Scammed “Kwan and Teacher Beer” Asking for Overpriced Kitchen Setup Funds

This has become a widely discussed issue among rescue teams and foundations assisting flood victims, following previous events. Teacher Beer, a spiritual awakening teacher, and Kwan Usamanee went live on social media to talk about recent donations sent for flood relief, only to later discover that the people who requested the money, claiming it was for flood aid, actually used it to go clubbing. Witnesses and video evidence confirmed this. Teacher Beer was scammed out of over 100,000 baht, and Kwan was also deceived after receiving a bill and sending 36,000 baht. This issue has attracted significant public attention.

Recently, Boom Panadda Wongpudee, chairperson of the Orkarn Tum Dee Foundation, spoke out on this matter. Boom Panadda said the individuals claiming to be volunteers who scammed Teacher Beer and Kwan also contacted her foundation to request setting up a kitchen, but her team detected irregularities and declined.

"The volunteers who messed with Teacher Beer’s and Kwan’s events also approached Boom’s foundation to set up a kitchen. However, the team saw that all the prices were exaggerated as if building a house, and there was no actual kitchen. So we declined. It is wrong to exploit people’s hardships during floods like this."

She shared photos of the bills presented, which made Boom Panadda say it was an insult to professional kitchen workers because the prices were enough to build a house.

"Chili at 300 baht per kilogram, garlic at 200 baht per kilogram — did they order these from Japan? Pork and chicken were all overpriced. It’s an insult to the intelligence of professional kitchen workers like us."

Additionally, Boom Panadda shared photos of food prepared by her foundation’s kitchen to distribute to flood victims, and wrote:

"It’s very cruel to seek profit from kind-hearted people, making countless excuses to those with compassion who may not check costs. I sympathize with all victims. Cheating people is a sin; cheating donation money is a sin multiplied by 999. Our team grew suspicious because to date, we've prepared about half a million meal boxes nationwide for multiple floods, so we know the actual costs."

"Here is today’s food from our foundation. Doesn’t it look delicious? Chili costs 70 baht per kilogram, made by pure-hearted people. Where else would you find chili at 300 baht per kilogram? Wow."

Many followers have commented extensively on this matter.
