The go-kart racing drama surrounding the TrueVisions-Toyota Championship 2026 in the Cadet B category for youth aged 8-9 continues to draw close attention. Por Tanupat Lertthaweewit husband of Benz Prikthai, team manager of TNP Motorsport, has recently spoken out via his personal post, clearly expressing his sincere stance to all parties involved.
Por emphasized three key intentions, affirming that he harbors no ill feelings toward the family of Nott Wisarut and Chompoo Araya. He expressed mutual sincerity and has never demanded a change in race rankings. What he seeks are answers from the race organizers, reaffirming his stance on fairness rather than conflict.
“I want to clearly state my position with sincerity and respect to all parties.
Regarding the Kart competition TrueVisions–Toyota Championship 2026 in the Cadet B category, I would like to clarify my intent in questioning the organizers and the Thai Karting Association as follows.
1. Concerning the families of the racers and race results,
my family and I have never had any issues or bad feelings toward the family of Nong Payu, P’ Nott, and P’ Chompoo. We still shake hands, communicate, and genuinely congratulate each other because the children will continue to grow in the Motorsport community together.
I have never demanded the race rankings be changed.
I propose keeping the original race results because I do not want any child or family to be saddened by rule disputes, which are the responsibility of the race organizers.
2. What I want are answers from the organizers and the Thai Karting Association.
The Cadet B category is for youth aged 8–9 with 21 karts competing. I noticed that one kart’s engine appeared different from the others.
Therefore, I request clarification on three points:
- Were all karts inspected under the same standards?
- Is it permissible to use an older engine model with a cylinder block and parts different from the others in competition?
- If different model parts or modifications from the original standard are used, which rule allows this?
3. My stance is fairness, not conflict.
I am not accusing or judging anyone but want the organizers to transparently clarify the facts to establish a unified standard for all children.
Every family sacrifices time, expenses, and encouragement to support their children's dreams.
I do not want my child to have a better ranking, nor do I want anyone to lose their victory. I only want all children to compete under the same rules and standards.
“Victory is valuable, and fairness makes that victory even more honorable.” With respect and good wishes to all families.”
