It quickly became a hot topic when the young singer Nook Thanadon posted about hiring workers to renovate a shophouse, but the workers were pranked by someone throwing firecrackers onto the carport roof, frightening a worker so much he nearly fell. He also questioned who would be responsible if a serious accident occurred, and urged those involved to call and talk directly if they were upset.
On Facebook, Nook Thanadon posted a detailed account, saying, “This post is to clarify and warn those intentionally causing problems. The story is that I have been renovating a shophouse. The workers reported that firecrackers were thrown into the kitchen, making a loud noise like a transformer exploding. The team rushed to check, but I told them to let it go since there was no danger at that time.
But recently, while a worker was climbing a ladder and working on the second-floor balcony, the incident repeated—someone threw firecrackers onto the carport roof next to where the worker was, causing such a fright he almost fell.
I ask simply: if a serious accident had happened, who would be responsible? A person’s life is very valuable. Please don’t behave badly just because of personal dislike.”
“To those involved or witnesses, if you are upset or have any issues, please message or call me to talk directly. I regularly check the site. Don’t cause emotional problems or threaten the safety of workers.”
Many fans commented with hundreds of messages of support, such as: The workers have the right to report harassment or threats during their work that endanger safety. The homeowner should also report it, install CCTV to collect evidence, and file a police report so the law can handle it. Sometimes being kind and letting it go doesn’t make the culprit realize their mistake; it needs to be dealt with fully.
