Toi Traipop Denies Closing Company, Says Its a Shift from TV to Online Platform for Survival

Veteran host Toi Traipop held an urgent press conference amid rumors about company closure and staff layoffs, which became a hot topic in the entertainment media, to clarify the situation.

He delivered a detailed statement to clear doubts, emphasizing that he is not shutting down the business or closing the company, but rather changing format by ending production of the TV shows “Khrua Khun Toi” and “Today Show” on Channel 3 after a long run, and moving to online platforms to keep the business running due to production costs and current economic conditions.

This decision stems from observing the prolonged advertising revenue crisis that has been a storm for the TV business. Continuing to produce shows in the old format could lead to losses. Therefore, the company restructured its workforce with the survival of employees in mind, announcing layoffs to maximize employee benefits and considering rehiring those who wish to continue.

He outlined plans for the rest of the year, including producing online content, establishing an academy, hosting talk shows, and organizing Khrua Khun Toi events, which will continue in other formats.

He also stressed that this decision is not an escape from the television industry, as some can still survive in the traditional format. The key is to assess one’s situation and adapt appropriately.

Furthermore, he confirmed that his career will continue with the intention to work for life, describing this as a shift in format to keep the business moving forward, not an end to his career as previously reported.
