This is a story that moved Pleng Chanmtida Asavahame to tears when she, along with her mother, Tu Nantida Kaewbuasai, traveled to Paris, France, to pick up her long-ordered wedding dress. On this occasion, the designer Hedia surprised her by secretly embroidering the name of Pleng's late father, Aey Chonsawat Asavahame, on the inside left chest of the gown, the spot closest to the heart.
On Instagram @plengasavahame, she posted a clip showing the moment the brand embroidered her father's name on the dress, captioned in English: “A big “surprise” from Hedia凉懶✨From day one, you remembered the story of my dad @chonsawat28 and made sure his name was embroidered on the left side of my chest, close to my heart. You kept it a “secret” and made sure that I could still carry someone I love so deeply with me.”
This translates to: “A big surprise from Hedia 凉懶✨From the very first day, they remembered my father's story [@chonsawat28] and intentionally embroidered his name on the left side of my chest, closest to my heart. They kept it a “secret” to ensure I could always carry someone I love deeply with me 懶✨.”
Additionally, Pleng posted a clip trying on the wedding dress with the caption “because every dress holds a story .”
She also shared a clip visiting the Eiffel Tower with her mother, writing: “Love in its purest form懶✨As I turned away, mommy Tu whispered in my ear and said: From now on, may only beautiful things enter your life... May you be ‘stable’ and ‘strong’ like the Eiffel Tower shining ahead of us ✨.”
She concluded with a photo of the Eiffel Tower and a brief message: “Time to turn the page… finally closing this chapter of my life 懶✨.”
Comments from industry figures and fans poured in, including: “Love you both, the wedding dress is so beautiful. One day soon, with the right person who loves, cares, and respects our family,” “Love little Pleng, daughter of mother Tu,” “Can't wait to see the cat wear this dress,” “Love you,” and “Feeling sad too, but everything happens for a good reason.”
