The eastern side legally holds rights to manage 95 countries, with MGI having properly signed a contract in Singapore. However, the opposing side verbally forbade participation without any official written explanation, only informal verbal statements.
Nawat opened up, saying"Our decision not to participate does not mean we relinquish our rights. We are not going because of safety, appropriateness, dignity, and to avoid problems at the event. We don't want these six countries to become victims. We don't want the beauty queens to have to bow to injustice. If they go and are rejected or their dignity insulted, the girls might not handle the pressure. It’s better for them to stay home and relax comfortably."
Additionally, Nawat confirmed that the eastern side has legally assured him that the six reigning queens will have their reign extended by one year and will prepare to compete again in 2027. Regarding damages, MGI will proceed with legal protection of its rights.
