Sweet, simple, yet firm! Recently, Nonkul Chanon gave an interview about his love story with Aff Taksaorn who today came to offer support at the "Akaliko Hotel" film premiere, where Nonkul stars, and he updated fans eagerly following their relationship.
Did a special someone come to support you today?
Yes, she did (smiles). (She came?) She did. I think she's upstairs. Oh, she's downstairs now. (Will she watch the movie too?) Yes, she will. Actually, she usually watches with me, at least since the last film.
Does Aff like horror or thriller films?
We've watched some together, but if you ask what she prefers, she probably likes dramas the most. (But she can watch other genres, right?) Yes, she can (smiles).
Do you have to hold her hand during scary scenes because she might get frightened?
I hold her hand no matter the genre (laughs). Whatever kind of film, I hold her hand.
Halloween or Valentine's Day?
(laughs) Just normal. I watch films depending on the mood (smiles).
Do you ever spoil the plot for her?
Yes, quite a lot. As everyone knows, we talk every night after work. I share which scenes were easy or difficult, how things went. She asks, or sometimes I just naturally narrate. So she roughly knows how the story goes.
How does Aff encourage you about this project?
As usual (smiles). She already knows I can do it. She says, "I'll come see you," and just normal support.
How does it feel to have such encouragement?
I'm always happy. I know she always supports me even on bad days. Sometimes I feel I could have done better; the director doesn't criticize, but I think about it myself. I complain to her, and she encourages me, saying I'm overthinking (smiles). We share everything, work included. Sometimes she shares with me, and I share with her. (So you support each other in everything?) Yes.
How is it beneficial to have someone supporting you all the time?
I think every good relationship is better because of that. Many say a good relationship means one person changes everything for the other. I don't think so. She and I try to change each other into better versions together. It's not just one side changing. So when you find someone with the same mindset, it feels like you can go far together.
Do you still keep adjusting to each other?
Any couple, no matter how long together, needs to adjust continuously. If one side refuses to change, it will be difficult.
Does she make you better?
Yes. I have calmed down, and I speak less harshly (laughs). When I'm with friends, I talk a lot. (Is she quick-tempered?) She has her own temper, but compared to mine, it's mild (laughs).
What are the things you still have to adjust to each other?
Really small things every couple faces. It's hard to say exactly because some things we do unconsciously. We have to clear things up little by little.
Is deciding what to eat together a problem?
Not for us. She often says she doesn't know what to eat.So she really doesn't know what to eat?(laughs) I really don't know either. In the end, I choose, but she never objects. Everything is fine (it works well).
How does she remind you when you swear?
She doesn't remind me. But I can sense it. Just her presence, being there when I swear, makes me startle myself. I become aware on my own.Immediately?Yes. But she never says anything about why I swear. Never.
You care about her feelings every moment?
Every moment, though maybe not every second. When I feel it, I feel it.
Does Aff demand or forbid anything?
Not much.
How much do you think about the future?
The same as always. I feel that when she's ready, then it's time, as we have discussed.
If Aff is ready to marry, are you ready to propose?
(laughs) We'll have to plan it properly again.
Have you ever asked if she's ready? Asked secretly?
I have asked, but not often. Asking too much isn't good.
Has Aff shown any signs that she's ready?
I really can't read her mind on this. But overall, things are going very well. I think, I don't know about other couples, but I think that when the time is truly right, you probably know (smiles).
