Many people were quite shocked after rumors circulated that the two comedian friends, Mr. The Comedian and Pangfoon had a falling out and exchanged harsh words, even posting chat screenshots demanding 500 baht on social media. Recently, Thairath Entertainment reached out directly to Mr. The Comedian to inquire about the controversy, and he explained that
What is the story about Mr. The Comedian having a fight with Pangfoon?
Oh no, we didn’t fight. We attended an event yesterday. I was at a concert, and he was invited as well. We performed together and chatted playfully.
What was the joke about 500 baht?
I told him that the audience liked me more at this event, so I asked for an extra 500 baht. He refused, so I said it was just 500 baht because he didn’t perform much, not even impersonations, like Prayut,or Anutin, or other impersonations on stage. I asked if anyone wanted to hear, but no one did. Everything was under my control, so I teased him asking for 500 more. He said no and wanted to discuss with the team first. He felt it was unfair because he wasn’t funny and was relying on me to get laughs. He wouldn’t give me the money, so I asked permission to screenshot the chat and post it on Facebook. I didn’t expect it to become a big issue. Pangfoon and I have been friends a long time, but I read the comments and people seemed to know we were joking and teasing each other.
Have you ever had a serious fight with anyone in the comedy industry?
If it was a real fight, no. But if it’s about differing attitudes and not being able to work together, we just separate—that’s normal. I haven’t pointed fingers refusing to work with anyone. Maybe some people dislike me but don’t say it (laughs). I don’t work much with P'Ball because he opened a noodle shop, so we’re distant now, but we still talk normally. We haven’t fought.
