The main concern many have is the use of a personal bank account alternated with a foundation account. Recently, the foundation's legal team released an official statement to clarify and confirm the transparency of all operations, highlighting the following key points:
1. Confirmation of two actual accounts and explanation of the first account's origin.
The foundation revealed that there are two donation accounts disclosed to the public:
• The account “Do Good Organization by Ms. Panadda Wongpudi” (the first account)
• The account “Do Good Foundation” (the main account)
The first account was opened in 2014 during the initial formation of the volunteer group. At that time, Boom Panadda used her personal funds as seed money to give the public the opportunity to join in charitable giving and social aid.
2. Official registration as a foundation and opening of the main account in 2022.
Later, in 2022, the organization officially registered as the “Do Good Foundation” under the law, and opened a new bank account in the foundation’s name.
3. The foundation board explicitly approved the accounts with no personal use.
Regarding why the first account is still used concurrently, the legal team explained that the foundation’s board resolved in the meeting minutes dated 25 July 2022 (Agenda 1) to officially recognize the first account as a legitimate foundation account. Every single baht belongs to the foundation, with absolutely no personal use.
4. Key reason: speed in emergency aid disbursement.
The main reason for keeping the first account active is to enable fast online transactions. Boom Panadda emphasized, “People’s hardships cannot wait.” Quick transactions allow timely aid disbursement in crisis cases.
5. Original donors still use the first account; strict transparency controls in place.
Additionally, because many donors had saved the first account number, funds continue to be transferred there. The foundation has implemented strict accounting controls over both accounts to ensure that income and expenses align with charitable purposes transparently and correctly.
