Recently, the Good Deed Organization Foundation's Facebook page posted an official statement to clarify and ensure accurate understanding about using two bank accounts for donations, revealing that
"We would like to clarify the matter of the bank accounts for the Good Deed Organization Foundation.
As generally known, the foundation has two publicly announced bank accounts: one under the name 'Good Deed Organization by Ms. Panadda Wongpudi,' hereafter called the first account, and the main account under the name 'Good Deed Organization Foundation.'
The foundation wishes to explain that the first account was opened before the foundation was officially registered. It was established around 2014 when Ms. Panadda Wongpudi initiated and founded the volunteer spirit group, using her personal funds as initial capital under the name Good Deed Organization, to provide the public an opportunity to donate for doing good, helping society, and promoting volunteer spirit as a positive example.
Later, the Good Deed Organization legally registered as the Good Deed Organization Foundation in 2022. The foundation opened a bank account under the name 'Good Deed Organization Foundation' the same year. Since the first account remained important for foundation operations and was used for online transactions, the board resolved to officially endorse the first account as belonging to the foundation. This resolution is documented in the board meeting minutes dated 25 July 2022, agenda item 1.
The meeting acknowledged and confirmed that all funds in the first account are foundation donations, with no personal use, and the account has been used for the foundation's benefit since 2022.
This explains why the foundation has continued using both accounts. Many donors who have supported volunteer activities still transfer funds to the first account (as recorded). Recipients of foundation aid have seen funds from the first account used consistently to provide financial help, due to the convenience of online transactions.
Ms. Panadda, as chairperson, has always affirmed that the urgent needs of people seeking help cannot wait. This is a key reason the foundation maintains both accounts and operates accounting for both, with each account serving the foundation's charitable purposes since its establishment.
