For over 10 years in the entertainment industry, as an actor, host, and musician, today "Hon Thanakorn" is ready to embark on an important new chapter by fully stepping behind the scenes as producer, production controller, and director of his first series. He shared his thoughts, saying
"I've been with Channel 7 for almost 11 to 12 years, always working in front of the camera. I've always had a passion for production, and I thought, after working for so long, I want to have a project of my own someday. Today that time has come. I'm grateful to all the seniors who gave me this opportunity to lead this project, which became the series 'Love on Sale.' I put my heart and soul into it because I want everything to be great. I tried to remember everything well, and that's how I reconnected with director 'Pee Pla,' who I worked with when I first entered the industry. I liked her style, so we talked casually about her directing my first series, and now that dream has come true."
When asked about challenges, Hon said, "Of course, with dedication comes expectations. I believe we all have them, but I don't feel pressured because I trust we'll do our best and show the team that everything is going well. We pay close attention to the scripts and the locations we choose, which offer fresh experiences. As for whether I'll act in it myself, I want fans to stay tuned—maybe I will."
Transitioning from actor to producer has taught me a lot. From a producer's or behind-the-scenes perspective, or any profession really, if you study it closely, you’ll see that the problems are just minor obstacles we can overcome. For example, if someone says a script isn't exciting, we fix it by asking for majority opinions and adapting the script to fit modern times as best as possible. Every aspect of the series is a big challenge for a new producer. It’s normal because I have to handle many roles—not only behind the scenes as a new producer but also still acting, singing, and applying my personal experience to this project. I've also been quietly building my own production company for a while. Is it hard? Absolutely. There are many steps involved. Fans should know that before any series airs, it has gone through numerous stages and processes. I believe all producers want to deliver their best work. Regarding expectations, I hope Channel 7 HD viewers will love it. I’m confident the ratings will satisfy everyone. And if anyone misses the live broadcast, they can watch it later on CH7ON."
When asked about his spiritual beliefs, he said he is very spiritual and has visited many places to pray for blessings. As mentioned, he is deeply committed to this project on all levels, including spirituality. He is also working on music that fans will hear once the series airs. He confirmed he will continue to act and host on screen, with a long-term contract still in place. He calls this an adjustment to embrace a new role alongside his current work. He feels very supported by his "home" at Channel 7 and is thankful for over 10 years of opportunities to try new things. The seniors have seen his dedication in many areas and encouraged him to invest all his experience from both in front of and behind the camera into this project. He thanked fans who are waiting to watch the series."
