Doing Good Foundation Suspends Boon Panadda Amid Building Fund Concerns, Halts Donations

This has become a significant issue shaking the volunteer community where Boon Panadda Wongpudi serves as chairperson in establishing the Doing Good Foundation.

Recently, the legal department of the Doing Good Foundation issued an official statement dated 29 Oct 2026, clarifying facts regarding the construction of a new office and shelter building at Rangsit, Khlong 8, Pathum Thani Province, after detecting irregularities in fund disbursement and transparency.

"Clarification Regarding the Construction of the Doing Good Foundation Building at Rangsit Khlong 8, Pathum Thani Province

The foundation wishes to inform that, under the leadership of Boon Panadda, it has undertaken construction of an office building, storage and coffin donation facility, parking area, and team living quarters. This was due to the foundation’s recognition of the necessity for a space to store donated items and tools, given the large number of donors, and to support the rescue and volunteer teams during disasters to assist affected citizens, as well as to provide temporary shelter for victims of domestic and sexual violence.

Following the foundation’s ongoing assistance to numerous victims and the frequent occurrence of such cases, the facility also serves as temporary refuge during disasters like floods.

It is widely known that Boon Panadda’s intention as chairperson was to build this foundation property to become a national asset and to support those who will continue the volunteer mission of the Doing Good Foundation in the future.

In reality, a close associate of Boon Panadda took on management of the entire construction project, with Boon Panadda approving payments based on information from the project coordinator.

Payments were made directly to the contractor. The actual construction budget is still under review, as the project is not yet complete, and the close associate holds all related construction documents.

The foundation has been unable to contact the coordinator to obtain all necessary documents for verification. Parts of the building, such as roads, storage areas, and office space, are already visible and partially in use.

Upon discovering suspicious information regarding the project and fund disbursement transparency, the foundation will investigate, and if clear wrongdoing is found, legal actions will be promptly pursued.

Regarding public reports that a contractor was instructed to transfer payment for the building but denied any knowledge or involvement, the foundation acknowledges this and will collect facts to verify and take appropriate legal steps.

During the ongoing fact-finding process, the foundation has decided that Boon Panadda will temporarily step down as chairperson, appointing Ms. Pornpan Phumrin, vice chairperson, as acting chairperson.

. Furthermore, the foundation announces the suspension of all donation channels until the financial investigation and review of involved persons is complete. Social assistance activities will continue as conditions and personnel allow. The foundation apologizes for the incident and will follow legal procedures to ensure fairness for all parties.

The foundation requests cooperation in presenting factual information as legally guaranteed to prevent confusion, misunderstandings, or harm to anyone.

This announcement is made for general information. Legal Department, Doing Good Foundation, 29 Oct 2026."
