Following reports about donation funds from the Good Deeds Foundation, Boom Panadda Wongpudi, the foundation's chairperson, was involved in transferring funds to Chang Ae, a contractor for pool villa construction in Phuket province, amounting to 45,106,200 baht. Chang Ae then transferred funds to Gott Athip Anantawan, Boom's husband, totaling 20,649,672.53 baht, sparking online drama and criticism.
Most recently, Candy Rakkan, the country singer, posted a message of support for Boom Panadda, also sharing the foundation's beginnings: “Candy has been with Good Deeds since its inception as a celebrity charity. It was a group of artists wanting to do good, and Boom brought us together to have a platform for helping society.
As more people joined, we discussed what to name the group, ending with Good Deeds Foundation. We began helping people, animals, and addressing various issues, initially using Boom’s own money.
As cases increased and donors came forward—Candy among them wanting to help—during a good sales period, all proceeds were donated to support the foundation. Boom then had to open a bank account under the name Good Deeds Foundation by Panadda Wongpudi.
At that time, donations were not abundant; most aid came directly from Boom’s personal funds. Sometimes her earnings would dwindle, but she never stopped helping. Our group grew until Boom wanted everything transparent, so she formally established the Good Deeds Foundation. It took time to set up, but once done, it benefited donors, with the condition that everything must be transparent and verifiable, which Boom surely understood well.
Regarding the current financial situation, we can only wait for Boom to clarify. Personally, I trust Boom a million percent.Honestly, if it were me, I wouldn’t do anything so blatant knowing it would be audited. But I believe—and hope—it’s not like that.
If Boom is at fault this time, it’s likely due to misplaced trust and carelessness, allowing others to act this way, because I truly believe in her pure intentions. We’ve seen everything. Talking about the 60 or 80 million baht being discussed, compared to if Boom had never helped society, the money she’s earned and donated over time probably exceeds that amount.
But still, if the investigation finds Boom guilty, she must accept the consequences of trusting others too much—like when we trusted the wrong person and were cheated out of 60 million. We must face the results. Deep down, we know we are good people who think, speak, and act well, but we aren’t smart enough and trust others too much. We just wait for Boom’s statement, but this daughter will always stand by her. Stay strong, Boom Panadda.”
