Revisiting the Clip of Got Atip Touring the Newly Built Shrine at the Foundation of Good Deeds with the Inspirational Backstory

The Foundation of Good Deeds remains a hot topic, with ongoing issues concerning... Boom Panadda Wongpudee serving as the foundation's chairperson. Currently, the foundation's construction in Pathum Thani faces controversy over donation funds being transferred to... Chang Ae a contractor building a pool villa in Phuket, sparking public criticism.

Recently, a clip has been shared widely on social media showing Got Atip Anantawan Boom's husband, posting on his Instagram @atipanantawan. The clip features Got and the designer showing the shrine under construction, with a caption stating, “My height multiplied by 5 is the shrine's height. The pillar for worshipping Heaven and Earth uses my height multiplied by my birth date. Beneath the main pillar, I inscribed a curse to deal with evil people.”

In the clip, Got Atip explains about the shrine: “The roof structure is 100% steel. It's a shrine, and I believe this is the first in Thailand to use steel framing. Usually, steel structures are for hotels or similar, but we applied it to a shrine with real engineering standards, which should make it more durable. That's why the construction time is relatively short.”

“This is the inspiration. Some ask why it's so tall—the height is my own. I'm 179 cm tall, which matches exactly with the traditional Chinese measuring tape used in feng shui. Multiplying 179 cm by my birth date, the 12th, gives the height of the Heaven and Earth worship pillar. This dragon pillar is for worshipping Heaven and Earth; here is the altar.”

“Now, let's look inside. The design at the front, where the deity is, features four stern dragons. We're currently adding scales. I've designed lighting hidden below to shine upward and from above down to embrace the dragons' hands and legs, making the scales interact with the light.”

“Inside, the color scheme is mainly gold mixed with red, symbolizing wealth. People who worship here are meant to attract wealth. There is an opening for passing through to dispel bad luck. Anyone suffering repeated misfortunes will be cured by passing through here, as I have inscribed protective characters.”

“We hope to share more updates soon. This is our first time building a shrine. The deity inside remains a secret for now, as does the shrine’s name, which is unusual. However, it's unique and not duplicated anywhere else in Thailand. Thank you very much.”
