Lawyer Ple Announces Resignation from Good Deeds Foundation, Citing Harsh Society and Unappreciated Efforts

After Lawyer Ple Sirikwan Nilkorn legal advisor and lawyer for the Good Deeds Foundation of beauty queen and TV host Bum Panadda Wongphudee, joined a press conference with Bum to clarify documents related to the Good Deeds organization but faced criticism on social media.

Recently, Lawyer Ple posted a personal statement explaining his role as a legal board member of the Good Deeds Foundation. He admitted feeling shocked and stressed by recent problems. Ple said he trusts and respects Bum and is not involved in financial issues but has tried to help resolve problems. He announced his resignation to end his social aid work, saying society is too harsh: doing good only breaks even, while mistakes lead to being trampled and criticized.

"Allow me to clarify about myself in one post. I am a lawyer, with bachelor's and master's degrees from Thammasat University and a member of the Bar Association. I have always upheld professional ethics and used my knowledge and skills in my work, which has allowed me to hold several important positions.

Wanting to use my legal profession to help society, I had the opportunity to connect with Bum to assist with legal matters related to sexual assault when she worked on this issue. Since then, we've known each other and have worked together on various social causes. She then invited me to help establish the Good Deeds Foundation, so I assisted with the registration and served on the legal board.

Most of my help involved legal cases when people sought consultation or assistance—cases of rape, sexual harassment, family and child issues, and other legal matters—all without charging fees. This was my way to contribute legally to society and do good deeds.

During disasters, I helped pack supplies, organize items, coordinate relief bags and boxed meals, and assisted rescue teams of the foundation.

Regarding foundation documents, I helped with registrations like moving the foundation, granting power of attorney, and meeting reports. Normally, with my busy schedule and raising four children, I helped the foundation as I could. I was not involved in finances and truly did not know amounts received or expenses, as Bum handled those. I even donated myself. During visits, I saw ongoing construction and the spacious area, which was convenient for storing donations, vehicles, boats, and equipment.

When this major problem arose, I was shocked and stressed too. I trust and respect Bum, who is always on the ground, going to border areas, flood zones, helping patients, and transporting bodies—she is always the first to arrive. I never thought about money but tried to help as much as possible. Almost everyone helping is a volunteer.

Now, I am trying to identify where the problems are, how much money is involved, and how to correct and recover it. In the end, I will resign and end my work helping others. Our society is too cruel; doing good just breaks even, but mistakes lead to being trampled and criticized. I want to focus on caring for my family and my business.

Ultimately, I must take care of myself, protect and fight to the end. I have helped many people and am confident in my goodness and sincerity. I can prove everything and will fight fully for my life and future.

I ask for support from friends and everyone who knows me well and understands.

Love to all.

Lawyer Ple.
