Top Tosapol Opens Up About Relationship With Jackie: Still Getting to Know Each Other, Thanks Everyone for Their Support, Says It Takes Time

He opened up for the first time after being paired by fans and many hoped they would become a real couple, regarding the relationship between “Top Tosapol” and “Jackie Jacqueline Munz.” He said they have just recently gotten to know and are learning about each other, and “young Top” shared, “Actually, I just recently met her. We didn’t know each other for long. We arranged to have a meal together that day. She invited me to Namtaan’s (Namtaan Pijak) birthday dinner. That was when we first met, the first time we got to know each other.”

How was it the first time you met?

“It was normal, like friends. I’ve known Intanon since we filmed a series together, and he is now my manager. As for Namtaan, I’ve known her since childhood, from when she started advertising, over 10 years ago. Before Namtaan met Phi Phai (Phai Patit), I already knew her. I’ve seen Namtaan occasionally, so I know both sides quite well.”

Did you know Jackie before?

“I didn’t know Jackie personally. I knew who she was, that she’s Bong’s mother. I vaguely remember during COVID when she had green skin or something like that. I remember.”

What made you decide to start talking to Jackie?

“The decision probably came later, about whether to get to know or talk to her or not, because friends introduced us to meet first.”

Would you call it a date or a blind date?

“What exactly is that? A date or blind date? Honestly, that day wasn’t arranged specifically for me to meet Jackie. It wasn’t like that. It was more like friends inviting each other. We were friends of friends who happened to come together to Namtaan’s birthday party. It was natural, just getting to know each other.”

When you first saw her, how did you feel?

“As I’ve said before, I don’t have a fixed type. Overall, I like mixed-race people, that’s my type, but I have trouble with communication. So, that might be unrealistic. Since I met Doctor Pan, her advice was strict. I’ve never said I can’t think for myself until now. Pan told me to check IG modeling and look at comments to see which mixed-race models type Thai well. That was Pan’s joke, but I never thought of it seriously. So, that’s how I got to know Jackie, and it was okay.”

Was she shy around you? Was there any spark to start? ?

“I think it was normal, like two people meeting for the first time, a bit shy and hesitant.”

How many months have you known each other now?

“About 2 months, a bit over one month, almost two months, I guess.”

How is it going? Is it exciting?

“Oh, we just met. I want everyone to be patient and give us time to get to know each other.”

Since then, have you gone anywhere together?

“What you saw, yes, we had meals with Phi Cher and Phi Ek, right? That was an exchange project. (Exchange of feelings?) The exchange project means I met her friends and introduced them to mine. When you get to know someone, sometimes seeing just that person isn’t enough; you need your friends to observe from a broader perspective.”

After meeting her the first time, did you ask yourself what you thought?

“I ask myself all the time. When meeting or getting to know someone, you have to consider many things—lifestyle, rhythm of life, many aspects.”

Is she like how people see her on screen?

“I think she’s similar, yes. She’s funny. (Do you like beautiful or funny people?) Me? If combined, that would be good. Is that possible? Does it match? Actually, there are many aspects. Not just beauty or humor, but how she acts when she dislikes something, when serious, or stressed at work. It’s an overall picture.”

Can you say you are currently developing a relationship?

“I don’t know if it’s developing. We have to see and be patient. But yes, it’s the stage of getting to know and learning about each other. We just met.”

Can you call her your girlfriend yet?

“Oh no, that’s too far. I don’t even know where the line is between dating, talking, or studying each other. It’s too specific. We just met.”

Have you started officially dating?

“Oh, not yet. Maybe a bit too soon.”

How do you feel that your friends and her friends are cheering for you?

“I think my friends, at least those I know, have seen me like this for two years. They want me to meet someone and seriously get to know someone. But ultimately, it depends on my decision. I intend to get to know her.”

Jackie’s friends are cheering for you, saying they like a sun-kissed Thai man?

“I’ve heard that. Phi Great even messaged me, saying, ‘How’s it going, brother?’ Not congratulating me but just chatting. I replied, ‘Okay, brother.’ He didn’t ask about his sister. I’ve seen Phi Great’s interviews sometimes.”

Are they happy for both of you?

“They said if it could happen, I’m listening. Both my friends and hers want their friends to meet good people. If they feel it might work, they want them to meet. But whether they’re compatible or the right ones, that’s between the two people to decide.”

Many across Thailand hope you and Jackie will become a couple soon?

“That makes me nervous because it’s a matter concerning the whole country. I’m very thankful for everyone’s attention. But it will take time, slowly and naturally. To get to know each other better, meet friends, talk more. We have to experience many things together—when we’re tired or irritated, whether we get along. If that happens, it can work.”

Do you want to introduce her to your world, like hiking?

“Oh, hiking is personal. It depends on who wants to go. I don’t decide the trip; Phei plans it. I don’t know how tough the destination is. It’s better if it’s voluntary. No plans to invite her yet. My world can be in the city too.”

But Intanon strongly supports you, saying Jackie must get a horoscope reading and will have a boyfriend next year. Does that mean you’ll announce your relationship then?

“We’ll see if year 70 (2027) has anything. Is it accurate? Actually, I’ve never sung love songs to girls or dedicated songs to them.”

But you sent her a big gift on TikTok?

“Oh, Transformers. Do you know Tata? I was on TikTok after practice, scrolling, and saw Tata. She was standing behind her friends—Tata, Tu, and others. Tata asked if I wanted to send some support. I didn’t know what that meant or how to do it. She told me to send some stickers. I said I had no money, but then I found coins in the app. Tata said I could send it, so I tried. That’s how Transformers happened. I still don’t know how to do it myself. Tata told me sending gifts is encouragement, so I sent it as support.”

What about the birthday gift she wore?

“I want to keep that a secret, but I did buy her a gift. I just won’t say what it was.”

Have you talked about the news coverage?

“A bit, yes. It’s normal. I think in any relationship, if the man initiates talking first, it’s fine. But as I said, I want everyone to be patient and give us time.”

How would you define your current status? Is she special?

“We’ve just met. I use that term. Special? That might take time.”

Do you want to say something to those who support you both?

“Sure. One more thing before that: if you meet me somewhere, please don’t secretly take photos. Sometimes I’m picking my nose or flicking food from my teeth. Please come and ask for a photo directly. I’m fine with that. Secretly zooming and catching moments makes me paranoid when I go out. I don’t need to hide. When we meet in public, just say hi or ask for a photo. I’m happy to. Thank you very much.”
