A famous leading actor has sparked online controversy. Jes Jesdapipat Tilapornphat. He posted a photo of himself cosplaying as Michael Jackson from the song Thriller for Halloween, but faced backlash from international fans who viewed it as racial discrimination.
Recently, Jes responded by posting a clarification on platform X, apologizing and stating he never intended to mock or insult anyone.
"Neither I nor my team intended to mock or insult anyone. Personally, I apologize for not consulting and rechecking the work before filming or posting it.
The issue arose because the team prepared the content, and I only learned about it on the shooting day. The shoot was under very tight time constraints. Due to the rush and fatigue, I failed to carefully consider that the images and clips might affect feelings or be interpreted as mocking or insulting. Ultimately, it is my fault.
I sincerely apologize for allowing this content to be created and posted on my social media. This is an important lesson for me to thoroughly check all work before agreeing or deciding to proceed. This incident is very significant to me, and I deeply regret causing emotional impact to anyone involved. I am truly sorry."
