Noom Kanchai Responds to Meme-Worthy Moment of Concern Over Chang Aes Phone Use and Call During Live Show

After Chang Ae a contractor building pool villas in Phuket, who became a hot topic connected to the donation case of the "Good Deeds Foundation" led by Boom Panadda Wongpudi, as well as the case involving Got Atip Anantawan appearing on the "Hone Krasae" show on Channel 3, where at one point Chang Ae was seen constantly looking down at his phone and even took a call during the live broadcast, Noom Kanchai Kamneploy the host, showed concern by peeking at Chang Ae's phone and listening in on the conversation, turning the moment into a meme that spread online.

Recently on the "Midday News" program on Channel 3, hosted by Noom Kanchai and Muay Arisara Kamthornjaroen, there was a segment where Muay Arisara asked about the incident out of curiosity. Noom Kanchai responded, "No, actually, I must apologize first because many might think I was being rude. I sincerely apologize (he bowed slightly). It wasn't disrespectful. I was just curious because he kept looking like this (gestures looking down at phone). I wanted to know who he was talking to, so I leaned over to peek."

Muay Arisara said she saw many people teasing Noom online, turning it into a popular meme. Noom continued, "After a while, he answered the call. So it wasn't just looking at the phone anymore; he took a call live on the show. I was curious who it was, so I asked... who is it?"

The production team then played the clip of Noom showing concern for Chang Ae on "Hone Krasae." Noom added, "I want to apologize to viewers who watched yesterday’s episode of 'Hone Krasae' because some might say I was impolite. I truly didn’t mean it that way. Honestly, anyone sitting there would be curious."

He explained, "Do you want to know what really happened? I'll tell you. The whole reason he was constantly looking at his phone was because Chang Ae's wife had read comments online and told him that the police were waiting downstairs to arrest him. She got scared and messaged him, 'The police are waiting for you downstairs.'"

His wife then called their lawyer, Lawyer Kung, saying, 'Noom brought the police to arrest my husband. What should I do?' The lawyer was shocked and called into the live show to check what was going on. That call you heard was from the lawyer, right, P’Kung? Am I correct?"

Lawyer

Kung Amnuayporn Maneeworn who was also in the studio, confirmed, "That’s correct. The lawyer from the office called out of concern, asking what was happening. When he realized the show was live, he was startled and hung up immediately." Noom Kanchai continued, "That’s the real story. We only found out afterward, after the show ended. Basically, his wife misunderstood the situation because she probably read the comments. During the show, I asked him if he wanted to be a witness or an accomplice. He said he wanted to be a witness. I told him if that’s the case, he should report it to the police. Then Lawyer Kaew said, 'Yes, otherwise you might be considered an accomplice. You need to file a report to protect yourself.' His wife seems to have misinterpreted that to mean the lawyer said he was an accomplice. Then, after reading comments that the police were waiting downstairs, she got scared. That’s one reason Chang Ae said he wanted to go home and said he was hungry, right P’Kung? He was scared."

Lawyer Kung added, "They didn't know the call was from a lawyer because it came from the office's 02 number. They asked if it was Chang Ae, if he was on the show, and when they confirmed, the lawyer got scared and hung up (laughs)."
