A former famous singer of the 1990s, Ink Achita Pramot Na Ayutthaya, recently appeared on the show "Know the Face, Not the Name?" to update her health after undergoing brain surgery last year due to a rare disease called "Cushing Syndrome," a tumor in the pituitary or adrenal gland causing facial swelling.
Ink revealed she had surgery last year for the rare Cushing Syndrome, a brain tumor. She had unknowingly been ill for about 2-3 years with no symptoms, except her face became very swollen. At first, she wondered why her face was so swollen since she regularly exercised and was not overweight. Eventually, she sought medical advice, unaware of the condition; after various tests, doctors diagnosed her.
She decided to consult doctors and was diagnosed with a tumor, leading to immediate surgery. Doctors warned that without surgery, patients with this disease often die from related conditions rather than the tumor itself, due to severe diabetes and fatty liver. Since her illness was undetected for some time, only 90% can be treated now because 10% of the tumor is intertwined with brain veins and cannot be removed.
It has been 16 months since her surgery. She recently had a checkup and MRI scan, which showed no tumor regrowth. The doctors said everything is now clear.
