“Ple Nakorn” Explains in Detail Thai Naka Foundations Financial System, Asserts Transparency with Not a Single Baht Missing

Regarding the recent controversy about donations to Boom Panadda's foundation, "Ple Nakorn," another celebrity volunteer and founder of the Thai Naka Foundation, has come forward to clarify the foundation's income and expense system that many are concerned about. He wrote:

“The financial principles of the Thai Naka Foundation are managed like a company listed on the Stock Exchange. Not a single baht is unaccounted for. Thank you all for your concern.” Ple Nakorn added further explanation:

“We hold monthly meetings with meeting reports, have an accounting team verifying income and expenses according to objectives, appoint an audit team for oversight, monitor financial report submissions to the Revenue Department, review tax invoice regulations with the Ministry of Finance and Revenue Department, verify donation permit submissions with the Ministry of Defense, report the work of all departments including operations, accounting, and legal, keep meeting records, and prepare for upcoming missions. Follow our work and request assistance on the Thai Naka Foundation page #ThaiNakaFoundation.”

Many followers commented, for example, “It would be good to issue donation receipts or attach receipts for donors as evidence, then compile and send data to donors. I support this.” Ple Nakorn replied, “In principle, the foundation must submit financials for Revenue Department review for three years before issuing tax deduction certificates. However, the foundation can issue receipts and thank-you notes as evidence to donors upon request.”

“I saw on the 'Hon' program that Revenue Department officials said foundations must register as charitable organizations to issue donation certificates for income tax deductions. Has the Thai Naka Foundation filed this? Because the foundation in the news hasn't,” a follower asked. Ple Nakorn responded, “All steps have been completed. Thank you for your concern.”
