After the country singer Takatan Cholada posted a message about a woman who trusted her husband too much and was deceived, leading many to associate it with Boon Panadda Wongpudi recently, reporters asked about this after she attended the premiere of the film "Kathoey Thaiban Virus Wipes the World" on the 5th floor of Siam Paragon, including questions about her health following rumors that she had been diagnosed with cancer.
How is your health lately?
"Now I just have a cough. The recent illness might be due to overworking."
What about the previous news about a cancer diagnosis?
"That was false news. Someone with exactly the same Facebook name as me was hospitalized the same day I was admitted, and she posted updates. People misunderstood and thought it was me and sent well wishes."
"People assumed it was me, but I had a viral fever. That other person actually has cancer and uses the name Takatan Cholada too. I want to clarify this. Thank you all for your concern. The person with cancer is not me; I just have a common viral flu."
"I really appreciate everyone’s care. Many who commented incorrectly is okay, but at least I saw that everyone cares. I'm fine now, though I’m still a bit worried if people will come to watch my movie (laughs)."
Why did you post about trusting a husband? What prompted that?
"Actually, it’s based on my real life. I’ve been through that kind of man before. But I didn’t mention who or specify anything. I believe everyone already knows because I was open before. I’m straightforward, but sometimes there are things you can or cannot say at certain times."
People are linking it to a similar story involving Boon Panadda?
"Actually, I was more reflecting on myself because it’s similar to my own experience. I don’t know whether Boon’s story is true or not. I can’t comment on that. I just know I’ve been through that point."
How do you feel seeing Boon Panadda in the news?
"I feel shocked and concerned for everyone. Honestly, from my perspective, Boon has always helped and has been an angel to everyone she’s supported. I think we shouldn’t rush to judge or decide whether someone is right or wrong because we don’t know. We should encourage each other."
"Honestly, I don’t know if I should say this (hands in a respectful gesture), but even if that situation happened, believe me, there are far worse people in Thailand who have stolen billions, tens of billions by cheating the public. I’d rather we focus on exposing those people."
Do you personally donate money for charity?
"Sometimes. I donate regularly but in small amounts, not millions. Usually, it’s in the tens of thousands or thousands, depending."
Do you consider where the donated money ends up?
"From my perspective, charity is charity. What happens afterward depends on others. I just hope for the best. From what I see, Boon has done her best and put in full effort, so I just offer encouragement. If anyone is wrong, then they’ll be held accountable accordingly. But I see her consistent efforts."
"At least she’s genuinely done good. In my view, if you’ve done more than 50% good, you’re still a good person. There are so many people who are 100% evil. If we want to gang up, we should gang up on them instead."
"I’ll leave it to time to resolve everything. Right will be right, wrong will be wrong. I’m not taking Boon’s side, but just reminding everyone that she has done good in the past. Sometimes, no one is 100% good because even I’m not."
