After Bum Panadda Wongpudi arrived at the Crime Suppression Division (CSD) accompanied by lawyer Phet Eksit Srisang her personal attorney to file a report against Gott Athip Anantawan and Chang Ae for being deceived into transferring money from the Doing Good Foundation to pay for a pool villa in Phuket, amid a large media presence covering the story.
Most recently, Bum Panadda has met with police and then spoke to the press, saying, “First of all, I want to apologize (raising hands in a respectful gesture). I want to apologize to society and all the donors sincerely from my heart. Also, today I admit it was a mistake to trust someone very close to me—someone I trusted deeply. This was my own error.”
“So today, I came to file a complaint to recover as much property as possible to return to the foundation. As everyone knows me, they know I’m straightforward. From my heart, I openly say that for any responsibilities or mistakes, I will use my personal assets to make things right as much as possible. I will not back down and will fight to restore everything properly.”
“Regarding the complaint filed by Khun Oi Sri, I want to show my sincerity by being willing to give testimony, speak openly, and present all documents fully. I will not run away. I will stay here and fight. Are we fighting? Yes, we fight for what is right—as everyone wants. I also ask lawyer Phet to handle the matter going forward. I’ve been scolded a lot by the lawyers for having to speak. Thank you.”
When a reporter asked what charges were filed against Gott, lawyer Phet said, “I can’t say because if I do, I will withdraw. Please allow me to proceed. Please give me space.” Then Bum Panadda raised her hands in a respectful gesture and walked to the van with lawyer Phet.
