Tatphoom Jaruprach, Commander of the Economic Crime Suppression Division (ECCD), revealed updates on the investigation into the Foundation for Good Deeds’ donation funds, chaired by Boom Panadda Wongpudi. He stated that today police issued summonses to two experts and media personnel for testimony: namely, Put Apivan, and Num Kanchai Kamnerdploy, to collect evidence regarding all donation financial flows given to the foundation.
Pol. Maj. Gen. Tatphoom said that after preliminary evidence collection and verification, police are pursuing three main charges: 1. Public fraud 2. Money laundering 3. Violations under the Computer Crimes Act.
Initial examination found that Ms. Panadda Wongpudi or Boom Panadda, may be connected to and liable for all three charges. Meanwhile, Mr. Atip Anantawan, or "Got", her husband, if investigations show he was not involved in fraud, may still be charged with conspiracy to commit money laundering.
Next, ECCD investigators plan to issue summonses to the foundation’s board and all related individuals to provide further testimony and finalize the case per legal procedures.
At 10:00, Put Apivan, a well-known reporter and news anchor, came to ECCD to testify as a witness regarding an 800,000 baht donation to the Foundation for Good Deeds. He briefly stated before entering the interrogation room that he would explain all details and provide information to police.
