The Department of Dramatic Arts, Faculty of Arts, Chulalongkorn University, in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture under the cooperation of the Office of the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Culture, the Department of Cultural Promotion, and the Office of Contemporary Art and Culture, presents the annual stage play "Lakhon Aksorn." This year, they have produced a musical honoring King Rama VI’s royal composition "Tang Jit Kid Khlang," directed by Assistant Professor Dankamon Na Pompet. The show runs from 15 to 25 January 2026 at the Sod Sai Phandumkomol Drama Arts Center, 6th floor, Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Building, Faculty of Arts, Chulalongkorn University. "Tang Jit Kid Khlang" tells the story of the Lakhon Karee Kamkad troupe, described as "a newly formed troupe with the most flamboyant characters," performing the play "Tang Jit Kid Khlang." The plot follows Rerai, a beautiful young woman of impeccable breeding, who gives her heart to Samai, a handsome young man. However, their love faces obstacles as Rerai’s family tries to control their romantic fate. The couple embarks on adventures involving escapes, searches, and disguises to seize the chance to be together. The story is filled with intense schemes, colorful characters, and the struggle between love, duty, and money. Audiences are invited to see whether their "Karee Kamkad" hearts can overcome fate's conditions, or if someone's "Tang Jit Kid Khlang"—a wildly determined mindset—will conquer all.

The stage play "Tang Jit Kid Khlang" is performed by graduate and undergraduate students from the Department of Dramatic Arts, Faculty of Arts, Chulalongkorn University, led by Kittithat Kaewuthai (music major champion), alongside Thananya Tosom, Thanawin Sintem, Peeradon Namwong, Sonkongpop Chiewpramong, Somying Thongkham, Thanathorn Suwanrak, Jirapath Pankong, and Siwawong Intharapasit.

The play runs for 12 shows from 15 to 25 January 2026. Tickets can be booked via Ticketmelon, priced at 800 baht, with a student price of 400 baht.
