The 2026 Chinese series Veil of Shadows (Chinese: 月鳞绮纪) is a Chinese romantic fantasy series about love bound by fate and time. When past and present connect, the characters’ relationships never truly end, despite repeated separations.
" Veil of Shadows The story begins with Luo Wuyi, a nine-tailed fox assigned a secret mission to find a mysterious demon holding an important dragon god’s power. She disguises herself to enter Lu'an city to uncover the truth amid a world filled with supernatural forces and deep secrets.
But this mission is far from easy, as many parties get involved—enemies fueled by hatred, those with hidden backgrounds, and allies who may not be what they seem. Everyone has different goals regarding that power: some seek to protect it, while others are willing to destroy it for their own gain.
Amid the pursuit, betrayal, and battles, the relationships that gradually form become the most complicated—especially the love that seems to recur across different times, as if destined from the start.
As past truths begin to surface and fate reaches a critical crossroads, all characters must decide whether to follow the old path or defy destiny to change the future, even if it means great loss.
