Siam Paragon has unveiled “NEXTOPIA,” a new zone covering more than 15,000 square meters on floors 5 and 5A, with an investment exceeding 850 million baht. It is based on the concept "NEXTOPIA: A Prototype City of the Future," emphasizing co-creation for a sustainable world.
On the evening of 28 Nov 2025 GMT+7, the NEXTOPIA launch event showcased a vision of the future through graphics, lighting, sound, and mixed media on The Globe, which simulated natural phenomena to highlight the importance of living in harmony with nature sustainably. The event featured a rendition of “What a Wonderful World” performed by a new generation choir, expressing the meaning of collective efforts to build a better world. A special show, Vivi Recycle Concerto by world-renowned artist VIVI Vassileva, featured music created from recycled materials and waste, reinforcing the concept of discovering new value in everyday surroundings. Siam Paragon and NEXTOPIA offered this experience and declared their vision for a sustainable future world.
It is a collaboration with over 50 innovation partners and more than 30 eco-conscious community groups, including B.Grimm, SCG, KBank, and the United Nations (UN), to drive sustainability. The space is designed and decorated with cutting-edge innovations such as:
Enjoy the refreshing 16-meter-high waterfall spanning three floors, acting as a massive natural air conditioner that adds moisture while conserving energy to create a comfortable environment.
An energy-generating floor innovation that converts kinetic energy from every step into electricity, reflecting the idea that anyone can produce clean energy simply by walking. This was developed through collaboration between Bangkok Cable and students from King Mongkut's University of Technology Ladkrabang.
NEXTOPIA partnered with B.Grimm to install rooftop solar panels producing clean electricity, concretely reducing reliance on conventional energy sources.
A digital globe displays real-time climate and environmental impact indices, developed in cooperation with Plan B, GISTDA, and NASA.
Experience natural cooling through a radiant floor system that maintains consistent cool temperatures without forced air, reducing dust, allergens, and pathogens. This ensures clean, safe air while saving energy and being environmentally friendly, developed by Casa Tech.
NEXTOPIA uses special paints from TOA free of mercury and lead, with very low volatile organic compounds, ensuring excellent hygiene and compliance with international green building standards.
BlueScope’s metal sheets are environmentally friendly building materials that are highly recyclable. Using these durable recycled materials significantly reduces resource consumption.
Additionally, NEXTOPIA is surrounded by meaningful art, architecture, and atmospheric decorations such as The Tree of Life, a welcoming point inviting visitors into the prototype city of the future; The Spiral, a nature-inspired staircase connecting floors 4, 5, and 5A, artistically linking humans and nature with sustainable art made from leftover materials; The Forest Canopy and The Ocean Canopy, futuristic interior designs created from recycled and marine waste materials, transforming them into artworks.
Meet the NEXTOPIA Mascots—Nextsi, Tobi, and PYE—who greet visitors at various spots. Visitors can also enjoy new experiences through the ONESIAM SuperApp, which provides stories and information about different points, tracks interesting activities, encourages participation in the NEXTOPIA community, and rewards users with Green Points.
Beyond sustainability for the future world, NEXTOPIA integrates Sustainability + Equality + Inclusivity, creating value so that every visitor feels proud to contribute to environmental protection and benefit others—an experience money cannot buy.
NEXTOPIA is more than a retail space; it is a platform offering everyone a chance to have fun and experience new innovations that elevate quality of life and the environment. This marks Siam Paragon’s 20th anniversary by revolutionizing the shopping mall industry toward sustainability.
