New Year's Eve Chants for 2026 GMT+7
Entering the new year with mindfulness, especially after enduring a difficult year for some, many choose activities to start the new day and new era well—such as making merit, offering alms, meditating, or even chanting through New Year's Eve. Chanting remains popular because it helps focus the mind and guides us to begin the new year with positive intentions.
For those staying at home and unable to attend temple chanting, we can still perform New Year's Eve chanting by ourselves at home.horoscopeThairath Online has compiled the homage to the Triple Gem, praises to the Triple Gem, Buddha homage, precepts taking, praises of the Triple Gem's virtues, chants of the Buddha, Dhamma, and Sangha qualities, the Mangala Sutta, the Bojjhanga Paritta, the Buddha's Victory Mantra, metta (loving-kindness) chants for oneself and general metta, water-pouring dedication prayers, and concluding dedication prayers—all complete to receive full merit.
Chanting through New Year's Eve is considered to bring auspiciousness to oneself entering the new year. It is a practice of doing good to encounter goodness, smooth life, and happiness throughout the year.

Energy, joy, tranquility, and mindfulness are established,
The seven factors of awakening are observed with concentration,
Seen rightly by sages, cultivated diligently,
They lead to psychic powers, Nibbana, and enlightenment,

Cleansing all diseases and pains, the seven factors of awakening prevail,
May those diseases be destroyed and vanish from the body,
