The ancient bronze statue of Luang Pho Derm from Wat Nong Luang, Tha Tako District, Nakhon Sawan Province, was created around 1927-1937 CE during the restoration of Wat Nong Luang. This statue is said to be the first edition of Luang Pho Derm's bronze images, though there are no recorded historical documents. Collectors say the casting was done at Wat Nong Luang using a gold-alloy material with a slightly white-yellow hue.
This is an ancient cast statue made with two-piece molds joined and cut at the base. The craftsmen created two mold types: low base and high base. The total production quantity for both molds was not recorded, but it is estimated that both types together did not exceed 2,000 to 3,000 pieces.
