Wat Nong Pho in Nakhon Sawan Province was home to the renowned monk Luang Pho Derm, known as the "God of Nong Pho Town." His legacy began as a virtuous senior monk, deeply versed in mystical arts and advanced meditation practices. He became famous for his kindness, immense popularity, and invincibility, especially associated with the first ancient cast statues, ritual knives, and the initial medals from 1939.

Luang Pho Derm of Wat Nong Pho was respected as a monk with profound spiritual power and regarded as a guiding light for Nakhon Sawan in both his practice and the powerful sacred objects associated with him.

"The first ancient cast statue of Luang Pho Derm from Wat Nong Luang, Nakhon Sawan Province."

This ancient cast statue of Luang Pho Derm from Wat Nong Luang, Tha Tako District, Nakhon Sawan Province, was created around 1927-1937 during the restoration of Wat Nong Luang.

This statue is said to be the first cast of Luang Pho Derm, though there are no written records of its creation; collectors say it was cast at Wat Nong Luang.

The statue was cast from a yellowish-white mixed bronze alloy using a traditional two-part mold technique, forming a cluster with a cut-off base. The craftsman created two mold types: one with a low base and one with a high base.

The total number produced for both mold types is unrecorded, but it is estimated that no more than 2,000 to 3,000 statues were cast.
