Have you ever felt tired at work, your mind foggy and unable to think clearly, and just wished for a little time to step outside the office area for a moment?
This route offers an easy way to recharge, visit temples to pray for work, success, and also to ask for karma cleansing, all simply done by leaving the office and traveling no more than 40 minutes from the city center. You can spend an afternoon resting, praying, and preparing your mind to return to work long before sunset.
Why choose temples in the Pathum Thani area? Because we wanted a calm and relaxed place away from the crowds, with food available, easy driving access, and the chance to visit three temples in one trip to pray for work, luck, and multiple blessings all at once.
On this trip, we let the smooth ride of our trusty BYD SEAL 5 DM-i SUPER PHEV take us for the spiritual journey. Although it’s a sporty new model that’s fun to drive, what we really noticed was “the quietness and stillness.” It also became a private space to organize our thoughts and work reflections, watching the scenery gradually change from city buildings to the greenery and simplicity of Pathum Thani province.
Thairath Online takes you on this journey considered a “(Not So) Secret Pathum Thani Trip” covering financial blessings, success, and karma cleansing all in one go.
Starting from the city center (we left our office near Lat Phrao Intersection and Vibhavadi Rangsit), the first temples visited are Wat San Chao, Wat Sing, and Wat Bang Luang.
Total driving time between spiritual stops and actual praying is just over 30-40 minutes.
Wat San Chao features a prayer point focused on business, luck, and releasing debt, where visitors seek blessings from “Ah Pae Rong See” A must-do is to worship the “Yantra of Heavenly Blessings” for good fortune. Visitors say they always return again.
The tip upon arrival is to first pay respects inside the shrine to "Phor Pung Tao Kong" (local protective deity), before praying to Ah Pae Rong See, focusing on “finances, career, and debt relief.”
“Phor Pung Tao Kong” is a local guardian deity who grants peace and prosperity. Most people come to pray for business success, safety, and protection.
“can bring faster results.”
Prayer tip: When praying, look into his eyes, focus your mind, and speak sincerely from the heart, telling him your troubles and all your wishes. There’s no need for any vows—just asking for blessings is enough.
Then proceed nearby to worship the statue of Ah Pae Rong See at Sala Natee Thongsiri, where offering sets are available for purchase at the shrine.
Meditate and pledge yourself as a descendant, say your full name, state today is an auspicious day, present your offering set, and ask Ah Pae to kindly grant your wishes (look directly at the statue). Pray honestly and straightforwardly.
It’s recommended to visit on weekdays (closed Mondays), preferably at 7:30 a.m. when the shrine opens, as the energy is strongest then and you can focus fully.
Prayer chant: (Recite Namo three times) then chant “Tian Gua Sue Hok Ngow Lee Tian” five times to ask for heavenly blessings.
Opening hours: 07:30–17:00 (closed Mondays).

Wat Sing emphasizes “karma cleansing” and enhancing blessings at a historic site over 400 years old (officials say it’s the first temple in Sam Khok). Don’t miss worshipping Luang Pho To and Luang Pho Phet, as well as paying respects to the Buddha statues in the four directions inside the main hall to promote life’s smoothness.
The temple atmosphere is peaceful, ideal for resting the mind and replenishing positive energy. Visitors mainly focus on “karma cleansing and promoting smooth life.”
Pray for forgiveness in front of Luang Pho To, usually inside or before the old ubosot (chants are provided). You mentally ask forgiveness for past wrongdoings to smooth your life and remove obstacles.

We arrived in the late afternoon to find the temple by the Chao Phraya River, experiencing the simple yet sacred riverside community. There’s a 100-year-old curved bridge connecting to an old riverside community, and the atmosphere is clearly tranquil.
We then walked to pay respects and pray to “Phra Pathum Thammarat”, the principal Buddha image of Pathum Thani province, believed to strengthen one’s destiny.
We also paid homage to “Luang Pho Yai,” the main Buddha image in the largest ubosot in Pathum Thani, featuring mural paintings depicting the Ten Jataka tales (the Ten Lives of the Buddha) and the Buddha’s biography from birth to nirvana. Most visitors come here to pray for “blessings and prosperity.” for themselves.
Additionally, we found an ancient Buddha image highly respected by locals, known as “Luang Pho Sacred.” This reputation comes from villagers who prayed here and “had their wishes granted,” whether for work, health, or fortune, spreading by word of mouth.
If time allows, you can also make merit by offering Sangha Dana or refilling oil lamps here. The temple is peaceful with very pure spiritual energy.
Opening hours: 07:00–17:00.
