
Phra Somdej from Bang Khun Phrom is among the most popular sacred objects in Thailand. It was found in the large chedi of Wat Mai Amataros and was created by Somdej Phra Phutthachan (Toh Brahmaramsi).
The first opening of the batch occurred around 1882-1885 CE, known as the old batch, and the last opening was in 1957 CE, called the new batch. Today, Phra Somdej Bang Khun Phrom amulets are very rare.
The material composition of Phra Somdej Bang Khun Phrom is similar to Somdej Wat Rakang, containing five special powders: Patthamang, Itthaje, Maharaj, Phutthakun, and Trinisighe, along with lime, cooked rice, banana, flower pollen, sesame, and oil included in every amulet.
