Luang Pu Thuat, Testament Edition, Phra Rod Mold, Year 2505, Wat Chang Hai

The Luang Pu Thuat Testament Edition was planned for a long time. The material formula is the same as that used in the first Luang Pu Thuat edition in 1954, consisting of: 1. herbs; 2. giant grandmother's soil residue; 3. other sacred soils from various places such as temple soil; 4. various types of flower pollens; 5. sacred powder; and 6. broken and damaged pieces from many Luang Pu Thuat herb amulets of the 1954 edition. It is assumed that there are 11 different molds for the Testament Edition.

The mold shapes are similar to those of the first 1954 herb edition of Luang Pu Thuat, such as the large mold, committee mold, medium mold, and Phra Rod mold. However, upon closer examination, the mold details and defects differ. The material composition is very similar since they were made using the same formula. Many have said that about 5,000 pieces of the Testament Edition were produced. After completion, Phra Ajarn Tim brought them for a consecration ceremony on 19 May 1962, together with metal amulets.

After the ceremony, about 3,000 of these Luang Pu Thuat amulets were distributed at Wat Na Pradu between 1962 and 1963. The reason for offering them at Wat Na Pradu was because when Phra Ajarn Tim was nine years old, his parents entrusted him to Phra Kru Phattharakornkowit (Luang Pho Daeng), the abbot of Wat Na Pradu, to study until grade 3. After leaving school, he stayed with Luang Pho Daeng at Wat Na Pradu. At age 20, he was ordained as a monk at the temple's ordination hall. In 1941, he was appointed by the Sangha to act as abbot of Wat Chang Hai, which was in poor condition due to long neglect.

Phra Ajarn Tim began restoring the temple gradually. Later, he was officially appointed abbot of Wat Chang Hai. His offering of these Luang Pu Thuat amulets to Wat Na Pradu was to show gratitude because he had lived there from childhood, was ordained, and studied at that temple. Approximately 3,000 Testament Edition amulets were given to Wat Na Pradu.

It is also said that Wat Khuan Wiset in Trang Province rented some amulets to distribute for merit-making there. The remaining approximately 2,000 pieces were kept by Phra Ajarn Tim and not released for worship. When Wat Chang Hai held consecration ceremonies for later editions of Luang Pu Thuat amulets during Phra Ajarn Tim’s tenure as abbot, he included the Testament Edition amulets in the rituals each time. This means the Testament Edition, especially the later batch of about 20,000 pieces, received multiple consecrations over several consecutive years.
